Shannon is an experienced Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Property Specialist who has earned the International President's Circle Awards for outstanding sales in 2020. Her negotiation skills, sales strategy, and personal touch have made her a success in every transaction with her clients. Shannon represents buyers and sellers in Corona del Mar, Newport Beach, and Coastal Los Angeles. She has seventeen years of experience as a REALTOR and is highly skilled and well versed with luxury estates and ocean view properties in the multi-million dollar range as well as investor and builder properties.
A Graduate of UCLA, avid skier, competitive sailor, and stand-up paddler, Shannon surfs on nearby beaches of Corona del Mar and Newport Beach. She enjoys family time with her daughter and continues to support surfing and women’s surfing events. She lives in Corona del Mar.
Shannon Aikman is a major figure in the women’s surfing movement from its inception through to the present day. She was inducted into the Surfing Walk of Fame, in Huntington Beach in 2016 along with her other founding members of the Women’s International Surf Association. As one of the first Professional women surfer’s, beginning in 1975 Aikman surfed as a professional for 8 years competing on International Professional Surfers World Tour (now the WSL) where she was rated in the top three California contestants for five years.
She was a founding board member of the Women’s International Surfing Association and was one of the earliest women to travel internationally in the mid-seventies establishing a reputation in Biarritz France.
In 1977 Aikman was co-founded the seminal women’s organization, the California Golden Girls with Jericho Poppler, building a team of six surf stars dedicated to creating awareness for women in professional surfing. She is also the recipient of the prestigious County of Los Angeles Commendation for “Creating a platform for women to excel in the sport, pioneering modern-day women’s professional surfing.”
